BṚHADĀRAṆYAKA UPANISHAD · 4.4.14

इहैव सन्तो ऽथ विद्मस् तद् वयं न चेद् अवेदिर् महती विनष्टिः ।
ये तद् विदुर् अमृतास् ते भवन्त्य् अथेतरे दुःखम् एवापियन्ति ॥

ihaiva santo ’tha vidmas tad vayaṃ na ced avedir mahatī vinaṣṭiḥ ।
ye tad vidur amṛtās te bhavanty athetare duḥkham evāpiyanti ॥

'While we are here, we may know this; if not, I am ignorant, and there is great destruction. Those who know it, become immortal, but others suffer pain indeed.
