CHĀNDOGYA UPANISHAD · 1.12.2

तस्मै श्वा श्वेतः प्रादुर् बभूव ।
तम् अन्ये श्वान उपसमेत्योचुः ।
अन्नं नो भगवान् आगायतु ।
अशनायाम वा इति ॥

tasmai śvā śvetaḥ prādur babhūva ।
tam anye śvāna upasametyocuḥ ।
annaṃ no bhagavān āgāyatu ।
aśanāyāma vā iti ॥

A white (dog) appeared before him, and other dogs gathering round him, said to him: 'Sir, sing and get us food, we are hungry.'
