CHĀNDOGYA UPANISHAD · 5.3.7

तं ह चिरं वसेत्य् आज्ञापयां चकार ।
तं होवाच ।
यथा मा त्वं गौतमावदः ।
यथेयं न प्राक् त्वत्तः पुरा विद्या ब्राह्मणान् गच्छति ।
तस्माद् उ सर्वेषु लोकेषु क्षत्रस्यैव प्रशासनम् अभूद् इति ।
तस्मै होवाच ॥

taṃ ha ciraṃ vasety ājñāpayāṃ cakāra ।
taṃ hovāca ।
yathā mā tvaṃ gautamāvadaḥ ।
yatheyaṃ na prāk tvattaḥ purā vidyā brāhmaṇān gacchati ।
tasmād u sarveṣu lokeṣu kṣatrasyaiva praśāsanam abhūd iti ।
tasmai hovāca ॥

The king was perplexed, and commanded him, saying: 'Stay with me some time.' Then he said: 'As (to what) you have said to me, Gautama, this knowledge did not go to any Brâhmana before you, and therefore this teaching belonged in all the worlds to the Kshatra class alone. Then he began:
