CHĀNDOGYA UPANISHAD · 5.4.2

तस्मिन्न् एतस्मिन्न् अग्नौ देवाः श्रद्धां जुह्वति ।
तस्या आहुतेः सोमो राजा संभवति ॥

tasminn etasminn agnau devāḥ śraddhāṃ juhvati ।
tasyā āhuteḥ somo rājā saṃbhavati ॥

'On that altar the Devas (or prânas, represented by Agni, &c.) offer the sraddha libation (consisting of water). From that oblation rises Soma, the king (the moon).
