KAṬHA UPANISHAD · 1.1.26

श्वोभावा मर्त्यस्य यदन्तकैतत्
सर्वेंद्रियाणां जरयन्ति तेजः ।
अपि सर्वं जीवितमल्पमेव
तवैव वाहास्तव नृत्यगीते ॥ २६॥

śvobhāvā martyasya yadantakaitat
sarveṃdriyāṇāṃ jarayanti tejaḥ ।
api sarvaṃ jīvitamalpameva
tavaiva vāhāstava nṛtyagīte ॥ 26॥

“Until the morrow mortal man has these things, O Ender, and they wear away all this keenness and glory of his senses; nay, all life is even for a little. Thine are these chariots and thine the dancing of these women and their singing.
