स ह प्रातः संजिहान उवाच ।
यद् बतान्नस्य लभेमहि लभेमहि धनमात्राम् ।
राजासौ यक्ष्यते ।
स मा सर्वैर् आर्त्विज्यैर् वृणीतेति ॥

sa ha prātaḥ saṃjihāna uvāca ।
yad batānnasya labhemahi labhemahi dhanamātrām ।
rājāsau yakṣyate ।
sa mā sarvair ārtvijyair vṛṇīteti ॥

Rising the next morning, Ushasti said to her: 'Alas, if we could only get some food, we might gain a little wealth. The king here is going to offer a sacrifice, he should choose me for all the priestly offices.'
