CHĀNDOGYA UPANISHAD · 2.10.4

निधनम् इति त्र्यक्षरम् ।
तत् समम् एव भवति ।
तानि ह वा एतानि द्वाविंशतिर् अक्षराणि ॥

nidhanam iti tryakṣaram ।
tat samam eva bhavati ।
tāni ha vā etāni dvāviṃśatir akṣarāṇi ॥

The word nidhana has three syllables, therefore it is equal. These make twenty-two syllables.
