CHĀNDOGYA UPANISHAD · 2.20.1

अग्निर् हिङ्कारः ।
वायुः प्रस्तावः ।
आदित्य उद्गीथः ।
नक्षत्राणि प्रतिहारः ।
चन्द्रमा निधनम् ।
एतद् राजनं देवतासु प्रोतम् ॥

agnir hiṅkāraḥ ।
vāyuḥ prastāvaḥ ।
āditya udgīthaḥ ।
nakṣatrāṇi pratihāraḥ ।
candramā nidhanam ।
etad rājanaṃ devatāsu protam ॥

The hiṅkâra is fire, the prastâva air, the udgîtha the sun, the pratihâra the stars, the nidhana the moon. That is the Râgana Sâman, as interwoven in the deities.
